A Nightmare on Elm Street theme song-Charles Bernstein

Synthesized instruments create the tension of the theme song. Enters with one note repeated up and down the stave creating a sense of openness, continues with dissonance and repetitions of these motifs.
Bernstein created his score using synthesizers, which was very common in the late 1970's early 1980's. The main title song has a part that uses a lullaby-like approach, shifting between just a couple of notes, that are easy to remember and sing back. The voices add a sense of space to the score and the notes are played very much spaced out that creates a dreamy feel with the expectation of terrible events to come.
